I've read your blog post, Joe, and found your comments relatively thoughtful, as usual.

I got more out of this book than you did; I have specific testing challenges I'm trying to address right now and this helped me move forward in a different and productive direction. Although it amuses me, we won't be taking any "supermodel tours", but some of the ideas behind those tours has been invaluable in organizing a ginormous test case base and moving forward to a more agile test model.

Viva la difference; I hope we all continue to have varying opinions; keeps us all on our toes...

Apparently, I thought a LOT less of this book than some others. Perhaps I'm missing something.

Anne-Marie, I believe you. Really.

Joe; thanks, as usual. It doesn't surprise me you like Dr. Whittaker too.

Rob, I'm rarely accused of being kind in Blogland, so you can assume I was just being honest, which is even more of a compliment...you realize, of course, that doesn't mean I won't poke at you a bit if we sometimes disagree and I know you'll feel free to return the favor...

It's actually a privilege to be able to correspond with and interact with so many people in our field and I'm fully cognizant of that. It also brings me a great deal of personal and professional happiness/satisfaction to have a venue where I can "be myself", say what I think and share my experience with people who do the same type of work that I do. And who are just as smart as I am - or smarter. I hope I never get tired of "larnin' a thang or two".

Hi Linda,

The book is indeed great. I'm only part way in to it but I'm loving it.

I too have seen James a few times and he does have that amazing quality of being able to make a point through humour. It's the best way to engage with an audience - something sorely missed by some presenters.

To say I'm over the moon with your mention is an understatement. It's always nice to know that people do read my blogs and find them interesting. Very kind comments.
